The future state I dream about…

… for organizations I work with will establish an interactive partnership of trust combined with coaching for wildly successful outcomes. The stories told on my website are just some of the success stories I have led. Working with engaged employees, our funding, services, and results have always improved. Along the way, we need to tell the true stories of our success and the results achieved to inspire others.

While the past is important to all of us, most businesses reach a stage where their products and services become a commodity or are shown to be ineffective. With the use of scientifically based performance measures, social issues like suicide, domestic violence, addiction, and poverty are increasing. Prevention efforts are not working, and new solutions are needed.

Without new knowledge, there are lots of competitors for what you do. Finding new and more efficient ways to achieve results is the only path for organizations to survive and thrive.

For tribal organizations, needs are great and the search for more effective service provision and funding innovative solutions to problems is imperative.

Are you willing to become the leader of a prosperous organizational culture? One that guides you to a prosperity with healthy employees. Do you have support from your leadership team because they recognize a necessity for change? Is the wood behind your arrow straight enough with the heft needed to pierce your existing culture and allow for change? Are you even willing to ask these questions?

With science showing that most adults have lost their ability to be creative and innovative, management science leading the way to new paradigms of employee engagement and innovation.

The Seventh Generation as Future State

Many business cultures exist as command and control. A board says do this and it’s attempted, whether it makes sense or not. Leadership says I want a 10% budget cut and a 10% increase in sales, whether it makes sense or not.

There is a different way to prosperity that involves leadership guiding the organization to a new culture, which only means a new way of doing things. One example of culture that makes sense today was set out in the Haudenosaunee Confederacy as the Seventh Generation Philosophy of making decisions.

Leaders considered how they viewed their decisions impacting children born in seven generations.

Eliminating personal interest for this generation changes how we make decisions.

The Haudenosaunee Confederacy has survived for centuries because it’s Future State stresses harmony among members. Respect permeates our Future State Coaching Program. The Circle of Safety is a safe zone for employees to heal from the organizational trauma often inflicted in a C&C organization.

Effective governance adopts the guiding philosophy used by General Henry Robert’s Rules of Order, “Respect.” Prosperous business practices use the Lean Thinking system developed by Toyota over the past century. The guiding principles used by Toyota are Respect for People and Continuous Improvement.

Animated Vision and Mission

Communication is key to Respect for People. When leadership includes employees in shaping major initiatives, a sense of ownership evolves. A clearly focused Future State tells everyone where the organization is headed. Breakthrough Initiatives become a substitute for conventional Strategic Planning. They can be introduced and discussed at any time but set goals that cannot be achieved without innovative and creative thinking by employees. They are developed by discussion that flows down the organization and back up many times for discussion and refinement.

Employees are trained to “Continuously Improve” the organization and receive training they need to improve through autonomous teams. Encouraging them to recognize and reveal problems, fix them, and take pride in the work they do while building a culture that teaches and coaches the science of improvement is the path to prosperity. As a leader you can benefit from coaching as well. Take the first step towards change and call for a free consultation.
